Welcome to the University Innovation Hub Program, where ambitious thinkers are transformed into successful entrepreneurs. BHTPA’s UIHP fosters a vibrant community of innovation by integrating educational rigor with the entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout the program, participants engage with complex problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions under the mentorship of industry giants and academic leaders.
Each phase of our program is designed to build upon the last, ensuring a solid foundation of knowledge while encouraging practical application and creative experimentation. UIHP’s structured pathway from ideation to commercialization empowers our students to take charge of their entrepreneurial journey, supported by a network of peers, mentors, and professionals who are invested in their success. Through this journey, UIHP participants not only make strides in their personal growth but also contribute meaningfully to both the Bangladeshi market and the global market.

Our Program
Our program, funded by the World Bank and executed by a consortium led by UPMCS Malaysia, is meticulously designed to ensure a comprehensive transfer of knowledge to participating universities. We focus on:
- Facilitating innovation teams based in universities to discover innovative problem-solving ideas with proper business case.
- Providing access to Innovation Challenge Labs for process of ideation, design, prototyping/ proof of concept, minimum viable products (MVP) and commercialization.
- Bridging the gap between industry and academia.
- Offering pre-seed and seed funds for prototype and MVP development.
- Ensuring intellectual property rights protection.
- Facilitating enrollment into the Smart Bangladesh Accelerator, the largest accelerator program in Bangladesh.
Our Strategy
- Local Context Analysis: We understand the unique strengths, weaknesses, and priorities of each participating university.
- Digital Platform: Our state-of-the-art SaaS ensures efficient management of cohorts, mentors, and industry leaders.
- Physical Facilities: Each university hub is equipped with co-working spaces, product development labs, learning areas, and pitching theaters.
- Innovation Challenge Lab: Our program is divided into prototype, MVP, and commercialization stages, ensuring comprehensive mentorship throughout. These phases will be supported by state-of-the art labs.
- Collaboration: We believe in the power of collaboration. From inter-university partnerships to industry-academia collaborations, our network is vast and varied.
Our Commitment to Gender Equality
